The EITA management councils consist of the EITA leadership team, the EITA-EITC advisory board, the EITA-EITC managing committee, and the EITA-YIC managing committee.

The EITA Working Groups and Executive Committees are authorized to act on the EITA-EITC and the EITA-YIC managing committees behalf on any urgent matter requiring the EITA-EITC and/or the EITA-YIC managing committees' approval.

 

The Emerging Information and Technology Association (EITA) and Leadership Team


The Emerging Information and Technology Association (EITA), currently eitc.org by EBMedia, LLC, has two goals:

The EITA Working Groups and the Executive Committees

 

The EITA Working Groups and the Executive Committees (ECs) are authorized to act on the EITA-EITC and the EITA-YIC management councils behalf on any urgent matter requiring the EITA-EITC and/or the EITA-YIC management council's approval, unless a regular or special meeting is scheduled to take place within 48 hours.

Group coordinators help the group teams manage resources and information and assist with scheduling and planning meetings and project activities. The group coordinator role may include additional duties and responsibilities and require expertise in a specific area, such as Biomedical Sciences, New Materials, FinTech, ITC, etc..

The current members (invited and appointed by the Chair of the EITA) of the EITA Working Groups and the Executive Committees are:

 

EITA-EITC Advisory Board/Think Tank

 

The EITA-EITC advisory board/think tank is an international body of experts specializing in Emerging Technology and Services. The roles of the EITA-EITC advisory board/think tank are:

 

  • to establish the criteria and process for proposal solicitation and review, identifying projects that benefit most from Emerging Technology and Services and make the most difference to our world.
  • to provide ongoing guidance to the EITA-EITC management teams on issues of strategy, management, legal matters, process, and conflict resolution.

EITA-EITC Managing Committee

The EITA-EITC managing committee is the group of volunteers ultimately responsible for the activities of the EITA-EITC organization (a virtual organization). We plan events, recruit volunteers, enable connections with speakers, panelists, and moderators, identify sponsors, manage the team’s finances (EITA-EITC is a non-profit), and operate eitc.org. It plays the role in the organization as both leaders and decision makers. Their overall responsibilities are:

 

  • Vision and Leadership. It ensures that everything the organization does supports its vision, purpose and aims.
  • Accountability and Legal Liability. It must account for everything the organization does, including its spending and activities.
  • Keep it Legal. It ensures compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and seeks guidance around any uncertainties.
  • Financial Management. It ensures that all money, property and resources are properly used, managed and accounted for.
  • Managing Staff and Volunteers. It must ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place for staff and volunteers. and that both are properly managed and supported.
