Invitation

The EITA-New Agriculture 2016 - The second EITA Conference on Agricultural Science and Technology, Biosystems Engineering (or EITA-EITC 2016 at NTU, the 17th Emerging Information and Technology Conference at NTU), is an international forum. It will be held at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan) on Saturday-Sunday, October 22-23, 2016. The conference theme for the EITA-New Agriculture 2016 is "Precision Agriculture: Challenges, Opportunities and Future Directions". The main purpose of the EITA-New Agriculture 2016 is to connect the dots to form a big picture for vision and talents. This conference, bringing together a global network of today's best thinkers, visionaries and thought leaders, serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion and exchange of information on the research, development, and applications on all topics related to Food Security and Safety-(Plant/Animal Production, Protection, Processing, Distribution, Utilization, and Resource Recovery), Energy Security-(Supply, Demand, Conservation, and Renewable Sources), Water Security-(Supply, Demand, Conservation, and Quality Improvement/Assurance), and Systems Informatics and Analytics-(Climate Change, Sustainability, Productivity, Competitiveness, Intelligence, and Nexus of Food/Energy/Water Systems (FEWS)).

We are pleased to invite you to attend the EITA-New Agriculture 2016 and submit proposals (invited talks only) for papers, panels, demonstrations, workshops, corporate showcases/demos, and SIG discussions. The Conference Review Policy requires that each proposal will be peer-reviewed by for inclusion in the conference program, and CD-ROM proceedings.

Session Tracks

The EITA-New Agriculture 2016 conference consists of four parallel session tracks:

  • Session Track 1 (S1): Food Security and Safety-Plant/Animal Production, Protection, Processing, Distribution, Utilization, and Resource Recovery
  • Session Track 2 (S2): Energy Security-Supply, Demand, Conservation, and Renewable Sources
  • Session Track 3 (S3): Water Security-Supply, Demand, Conservation, and Quality Improvement/Assurance
  • Session Track 4 (S4): Systems Informatics and Analytics-Climate Change, Sustainability, Productivity, Competitiveness, Intelligence, and Nexus of Food/Energy/Water Systems (FEWS)

 

Possible Workshop Topics

The EITA-New Agriculture 2016 conference is structured around a number of sub-themes that include -but are not limited to, the following topics:

 

 

as they relate to the research and development aspects of Agricultural Science and Technology, Biosystems Engineering, etc.. The long lists are not meant to be all-inclusive. Rather, they should be used to stimulate and encourage other ideas and possibilities.

Proceedings

Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings (CD-ROM formats) as well as on the EITA-New Agriculture 2016 website.
