- Overview

Quantum satellites communicate with ground stations using photons, which are inextricably linked or "entangled" in quantum physics.

Quantum entangled links allow information to be transmitted at the speed of light, but also mean that any attempt to intercept the signal will immediately sever the link, making hacking impossible.

Quantum communications satellites will be at the center not only of the future quantum internet, but also of the hacker-proof networks used to transmit confidential data and communications, not to mention the command and control architecture that will become an integral part of dominance in the space domain.
