(Interlaken, Switzerland - Alvin Wong)

Welcome to the organization of the Emerging Information and Technology Conference (EITC), a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit international organization/think tank (a virtual organization) managed by and for the benefit of the R&D community worldwide.

The EITC promotes interdisciplinary research, which involves the acquisition of cross-disciplinary knowledge through collaboration of experts from various academic disciplines. The future of research lies in the active exchange of ideas, concepts, and methods from various disciplines.

Since 2001, the organization of the EITC, supported and coordinated by the Emerging Information and Technology Association (EITA), has provided many international forums (the EITA forums) for the advancement of emerging technologies and services in the United States, Canada, and around the world every year. We connect people and ideas through digital and in-person events and resources.

The Emerging Information and Technology Association (EITA) helps take new campus technologies to market. Through research collaborations and partnerships, community innovation, industry support and commercialization opportunities, firms benefit from our expertise and technologies while increasing their own innovation potential.

The EITA Venture Community (the EITA-Venture forum) is aimed at building a dynamic and growing global community of entrepreneurs, innovators and thought leaders who are changing the world, and helping high-tech entrepreneurs and startups to advance their ideas and ventures in all aspects.

The EITA is committed to bringing young scientists and engineers together to discuss their current research and build informal networks with their peers that may lead to a lifetime of collaboration and scientific achievement. To that end, the EITA has established a General Young Investigator Conference (the EITA-YIC forum), a series of meetings organized by graduate students, post-docs, and young college faculty members with the support of distinguished scientists and engineers of the EITA-EITC advisory board.

The EITA organizes a number of (public and private) academic and professional conferences and workshops worldwide every year. Since 2001, the EITA's high-quality, cost-effective meetings have been recognized as the world's premier scientific and engineering conferences, where leading investigators from around the world discuss their latest work and future challenges in a uniquely informal, interactive format.

The EITA provides exciting educational, networking, and outreach forums for the R&D community worldwide in which academia, industry, and government can work together to share experiences, to seek solutions to common problems, concerns, and goals, and to build lasting alliances

The first EITA conference was held at a New Jersey hotel in November 2001. Since then, the number of conference sites is expanding worldwide to accommodate growing conference portfolio and regional interest.

The EITA forums are organized and run entirely by the worldwide committee volunteers. Administrative costs are kept low because volunteers and participants cover many of these costs (e.g., adequate travel and health insurance, etc.) themselves.
