Welcome

- (Interlaken, Switzerland - Alvin Wong)
Welcome to the organization of the Emerging Information and Technology Conference (EITC), a nonprofit, international volunteer organization/think tank (a virtual voluntary organization)
managed by and for the benefit of the R&D community worldwide.
Since 2001, the organization of the EITC, supported and coordinated by the Emerging Information and Technology Association (EITA),
has provided many international forums (the EITA forums) for the advancement of emerging technologies
and services in the United States, Canada, and around the world every year.
The Emerging Information and Technology Association (EITA) helps take new campus technologies to market. Through
research collaborations and partnerships, community innovation, industry
support and commercialization opportunities, firms benefit
from our expertise and technologies while increasing their own
innovation potential.
The EITA
is committed to bringing young scientists/engineers together to discuss
their current research and build informal networks with their peers that
may lead to a lifetime of collaboration and scientific achievement. To
that end, the EITA has established a General Young Investigator Conference (the EITA-YIC forum),
a series of two-day meetings organized by graduate students, post-docs,
and young college faculty members with the support of distinguished
scientists/engineers of the EITA-EITC advisory board.
The EITA is organizing/organized
many academic and professional conferences/workshops in 2012, 2013, and 2014, respectively. Meetings will be/were held in
New York, Massachusetts, California, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas in the United States and internationally in Taiwan, Canada, France, and United Kingdom. For over 14 years, The EITA's high-quality, cost-effective
meetings have been recognized as the world's premier scientific
and engineering conferences, where leading investigators from around the world discuss
their latest work and future challenges in a uniquely informal,
interactive format.
The EITA provides forums in which academia, industry, and government can
work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common
problems, concerns, and goals.
The first EITA conference was held at a New Jersey hotel in November 2001. Since then, the number of conference sites is expanding worldwide to accommodate growing conference portfolio and regional interest.
The EITA forums are organized and run entirely by the worldwide committee volunteers. Administrative costs are kept low because volunteers cover many of these costs themselves.
